Posada Party

posted Dec 11, 2017, 8:25 PM by Andrew Spiesman
Join us Saturday, December 16th at 6 PM, following the 5 PM Contemporary Eucharist for a Posada Party.  Posada is Spanish for Inn or Lodging and during the weeks before Christmas, children in Mexico celebrate the journey of Mary and Joseph by going from house to house seeking shelter. At many homes they are turned away, just as the Holy Family was in Bethlehem.  Eventually, the children find a home where there is room and are welcomed in for a party. Please bring a Mexican themed dish to share. We will hear the traditional Mexican song about the journey of Mary and Joseph, have a piñata for children, and celebrate!
