On March 1st, in addition to St Andrew's 9:30 AM and 7 PM traditional Ash Wednesday services, Rev. Lisa O'Rear will

be going out into the community, literally taking Ash Wednesday to the streets of Mentor. Manhattan Deli is welcoming Lisa into the waiting area of the popular lunch spot, to offer citizens the opportunity to mark the solemn day and receive ashes as a reminder of our mortality and of God's gift of everlasting life through Jesus.

Ashes2Go was started by three Chicago-area Episcopal congregations who took ashes and prayer to suburban train stations, and discovered commuters hungry for a moment of prayer, renewal and grace.  The offering has since grown to many areas of the United States, and now come here to Mentor.

Lisa will be at Manhattan Deli offering ashes, a moment of prayer, and the love of the St. Andrew parish, on Ash Wednesday (March 1st) from 11 AM to 2 PM.
